This is the second time Josh has gotten good luck while Drake has gotten bad luck.Stop-and-Shop is a grocery store in the United States. This episode is very similar to The Chicken Roaster in Seinfeld. In both of them, the characters switch places - and personalities. In Seinfeld, Jerry and Kramer switch rooms, and a red light from across the street makes Jerry act like Kramer and vice-versa. In Drake & Josh, Josh wants nothing to do with Drake, therefore becoming calmer, happier, and losing his rash, where Drake becomes accident-prone, shouts a lot, gets pimples, and grows to realize he needs Josh way more than Josh needs him. This was probably a small token of appreciation from Dan Schneider who created both shows.
Amanda Bynes starred in a movie called "She's the Man", and Drake and Josh normally uses real-movie gag posters with slightly altered titles as a Running Gag. Drake and Josh started on The Amanda Show, ( Really Big Shrimp's ending has a clip from the show) which, of course, was hosted by Amanda Bynes. When Drake is being dragged out of the door by the Security Guards,.Audrey and Walter were absent in this episode.Byron Washington and Cole Schaefer as Security Guards.Drake smiles back, and the two brothers happily reconcile over the game. Drake tries once again to apologize, but Josh interrupts him with a smile of forgiveness. Josh bursts into the room and boldly challenges Drake to a game. Drake runs away in anguish, leaving Josh to process Drake's apology.ĭrake shuts himself in his room, sadly playing ping-pong alone. Humiliated, Drake reaches his breaking point and tearfully and sincerely apologizes to Josh, admitting that he needs Josh in his life even though Josh is much better off without him. Drake ends up causing a chemical accident which forces him into the power shower, completely drenching him in water with every student in the class watching, including Josh. Drake can’t understand Clayton due to Clayton’s speech impediment and doesn’t know what to do for the experiment, as Josh usually helps him. One day at school, Drake barely makes it to chemistry class (Josh’s alarm usually helps him wake up on time), and is paired up with Clayton for the class experiment (Josh had asked to switch lab partners).
Drake's life, on the other hand, falls apart without Josh's help: he is unable to tune his guitar, he grows zits, yells a lot more, his car runs out of gas which forces him to walk to the movies (Josh usually pays for gas), and he only has $10 when attempting to buy an $11 movie ticket (Josh usually gives him free tickets). Josh's life improves significantly without Drake’s involvement: he passes his make-up exam and does not get a grade dropped due to his excellent effort, gets along better with Helen at work, has a good time with his friends, and his rash subsides.
Drake doesn't take him seriously at first however, five days later, Josh is still "done" with Drake, excluding Drake from his life completely. He decides that he is done with Drake, considering Drake nothing more than a roommate. When Drake's antics cause Josh to miss an important test and drop his grade, Josh becomes furious.
